This week I learned more about WordPress and how to make my site better. First, I created a new subdomain with the help of the Vivero WordPress training. I also looked at the Arts and Humanities Portfolio page to see examples and ideas. Reading through the site helped me understand how people organize their projects.
I also practiced using Elementor. I watched a tutorial about the basics and read carefully the Vivero page about the plugin. Then I tried changing the typography and played with other design features. It was interesting to see how many options there are, even with small changes.
Finally, I searched for examples of inclusive communication from other universities and colleges. This gave me ideas about how to write and design in a way that includes more people. I also emailed with project leads and wrote my weekly reflection for Vivero. Overall, I feel I made good progress this week by learning more about WordPress and Elementor, and I feel more confident about helping students at the DLAC workshop the next two weeks.
